The Green Hope High School Band Program was established in 1999 with the opening of Green Hope High School. The Band Program comprises various groups including Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Color Guard, and Winter Guard. These groups perform and compete at local, state, and national levels. Under the director of Mr. Brian Myers, the dedicated team of staff and instructors offers a comprehensive and diverse educational experience both in and beyond the classroom environment.

Since 2012 they have been a Bands of America Regional Finalist ten times and have been a Bands of America Grand National Semi-Finalist twice.

The Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Concert Band achieve consistent superior ratings at the annual Music Performance Adjudication, and Mr. Myers has also partnered with many professional conductors and musicians in the area to provide students with master classes and other opportunities. In 2014, the Green Hope Symphonic Band performed at the NC Music Educator’s Conference in Winston-Salem. In 2018, the Green Hope Band was named a Division Winner of the Programs of Excellence Blue Ribbon Award, sponsored by the National Band Association.
